PPCHEM is organizing a virtual Power Cycle Instrumentation Seminar (PCIS) fitting for the Brazilian timezones. This PCIS will be held in Spanish / Portuguese.
This seminar will be of major interest for Station Chemists, Instrument Technicians, Maintenance Staff, QA-Managers, Water Treatment Designers and Engineers, Corporate Chemistry Staff,
Plant Designers and I&C-Engineers.

Topics
This PCIS will be dealing with the following topics:
- Chemical cycles and their monitoring requirements
- New guidelines for feed water, boiler water and steam
- Sampling systems: engineering specifications and guidelines (VGB, IAPWS)
- Analytical methods and instrumentation: conductivity, degassed conductivity, sodium, silica
pH, dissolved oxygen and turbidity, among others. - Techniques for quality assurance and maintenance planning
- Water/steam cycle monitoring requirements for power generators and co-generators
Objectives:
- Understanding the importance of online instrumentation
- Knowing the dificulties in the design of sampling systems
- Discussing the recommendations of the most recent standards and the analytical techniques currently used
- Understanding the difficulties in quality control and building maintenance programs
